Update Info

New in ToxRat 2.10.05 (extract)

(Hint fur ToxRat Users: the complete list is available in the Customers Area )

User manual
Generally the user manual was extended, namely all new settings available in different menus are explained. The explanations of the different manual settings possible also provide  a small insight in statistical theory.

Inclusion of name of computer and / or name of user into the report now possible.
Menu options / reporting: “add name of computer” or “add name of user”. Default setting: unchecked.

Compution method for ECx and NOEC/LOEC may be included in all overview tables and / or in the summary tables.
See menu options / reporting; default setting: “in all overview tabs” checked

Output of non-significant dose response functions may be suppressed.
The user now can decide whether ECx values and graphs are shown also in case of non-significant dose response relations  (Menu Options / input-output). The default setting is that results and graphs generally are shown.

Summary of settings in one box
Settings required for manual evaluation using the menu “statistical procedures” such as “test direction”, “error probability” , “variance used” and “append new tables” now can be done in only one single box instead of several successive ones. As before, useful default settings are preselected.

OECD 211, Daphnia Reproduction Test
For the variable “Age of first Reproduction” no EC-values are calculated, since it is not possible to define the effect size x (maximum possible increase in age not known). A corresponding message it included into the output.

OECD 210 and OECD 208
Addition to variable-names: In biotests measuring both emergence / hatching success and subsequently survival of emerged / hatched individuals the terms of variables are changed to “post-emergence-survival” and “post-hatch-survival” respectively.

Fish-Egg Test DIN EN ISO 38415T6
The criteria for validity of the test was corrected to 10% mortality, as it is indicated in the corresponding guideline.

Ames Fluctuation Test ISO WD 11350
The default setting for NOEC determination has been changed: instead of Williams-test after arcsin-transformation of data now the Bonferroni-Chi2-test with untransformed data is performed by default. This was done in order to avoid troubles with parametric tests when zero-variances occur in negative contols or treatments (i.e. parametric tests could not be performed).
The terms “induction” and “reversion” were unified; now generally the term “induction” is used in all result tables.
The term of variables used in the summary table were specified more detailed, e.g. TA 100+S9 / TA 100-S9 etc.

New: Fish Acute Test DIN EN ISO 7346

Chi2 Test with large numbers / extremely low frequencies
The Chi2-test now is also performed with numbers > 500. If the test cannot be performed because of extremely low frequencies a corresponding explanation is given in the output and alternative methods are recommended (arcsin transformation).
